Charles Rothera
Director of Clinical Services
Charles (Chas) Rothera is a clinical social worker, therapist, and advocate for individuals with substance use and mental health disorders. He attended Millersville University, earning a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in social work. He entered the field nearly 20 years ago and developed a passion for working with the co-occurring population. Over the past 15 years, he has worked across the majority of substance use/mental health levels of care. During this time, he discovered his love for supervising other clinicians and providing consultation services to community organizations to improve the quality of care they offer to the behavioral health community.
Charles has a small private practice, serves on the advisory board for the Chester County branch of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), and is also a member of Chester County’s Mental Health and Intellectual Disabilities Advisory Board. He is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in Pennsylvania and Delaware and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC). He lives in West Chester with his wife, Jacquelyn, a school administrator, their dog, and two cats.
